Claire Grillet

French Sculptor – Inventing Spaces, Shaping Emotions

Biography

Since 1999, Claire Grillet has meticulously shaped her artistic journey through studio practice and independent research. Trained with a Bachelor of History of Arts in Paris, she bridges classical casting methods in bronze and aluminum with innovative approaches using polyurethane resin. Her work redefines sculptural expression through vivid textures, bold forms and vibrant dimensionality.

Claire Grillet’s art has featured in high-profile venues such as the Carrousel du Louvre (Paris), Grand Palais, Saint‑Jean‑de‑Monts Contemporary Art Center, London’s 5th Base Gallery, and New York’s SELECT Fair. Additionally, her sculptures have also been featured in corporate and hotels venues including the Gras Savoye headquarters, Maserati France, the Westminster Hotel, Place Vendôme, and Hôtel Édouard 7 in Paris.

As a testament to her versatility, Claire has also collaborated on international hotel design projects and appeared in several films, merging sculptural art with cinematic narratives.

Vision

Claire Grillet’s sculptures navigate the unseen: portals between worlds, echoes of movement, and architectural fragments reimagined. Her Gates and Portals series, rendered in layered PU resin, invites viewers to cross into abstract realms, while works like Smokin Beauty materialize formless energies into tactile shapes that balance stillness with motion.

In pieces such as Funky Paradise, she channels rhythm and dance, with intertwined patinated bronzes that resonate with musicality and equilibrium. Meanwhile, Indian Kid offers a sculpted ode to the journey from childhood to adulthood, honoring cultural storytelling through minimalist form and symbolic abstraction.

Her material palette, from bronze and aluminum casting to high-density polyurethane resin, allows her to experiment with scale, surface effect and color with bold freedom.
